Caretakers of Wonder

Derek Junck Hunter is an interdisciplinary visual artist, environmentalist and whirling dervish. He lives and works in Roberts Creek and New York City. He received his BFA at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University and MFA at Simon Fraser University. He frequently collaborates his wife and partner Mira Hunter. In 2009 he was a primary visionary behind the New York floating eco habitat Waterpod. His sculptural installations often involve imagery captured using a custom bullet time camera ring, which he presented at dorkbot New York City in 2011.
